-Summit Coordinators - Finance and Sponsorship Coordinator WES2019

Job Description

As coordinator of the Finance and Sponsorship Team, you will be responsible for raising and managing the funds from a number of sponsors to support the running of the Summit. Each team requires a sizeable fund for their operations throughout the year, thus the success of the Sponsorship team can make or break the event. We have established a strong portfolio of contacts with sponsors such as Bloomberg, BNP Paribas, The Economist or ICAEW, and built some excellent relationships over the past ten years, so continuing and improving our efforts will be no easy task. As we look for innovative ways of financing our event in 2019, you will have the valuable chance to shape the future of the Warwick Economics Summit.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for the roles of Coordinator & Deputy Coordinator.

-Summit Coordinators - Marketing and Creative Design Coordinator WES2019

Job Description

The Marketing and Creative Design Team is responsible for the branding of the Warwick Economics Summit, which includes shaping its digital and physical presence around the University of Warwick. With an annual reach of 5 million, Marketing and Creative Design seeks to ensure we maintain this prestige from the start of the academic year through to the post-Summit buzz. Using their creativity, the Coordinators will be responsible for setting the vision for the 2019 marketing initiatives and producing the Summit's well-respected advertising campaign. This includes promotional videos and images, posters and flyers.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for the roles of Coordinator & Deputy Coordinator.

-Summit Coordinators - Social Events Coordinator WES2019

Job Description

The Social Events Team is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Summit Ball, widely recognised as one of the best highlights of the Summit weekend and of the university social calendar itself. Each year, we aim for the Ball to improve upon its predecessor and the Co-Coordinators of the Social Events Team will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the event, ranging from the theme of the evening to the provided entertainment, are well planned and executed. In addition to this role, the Co-Coordinators will also be responsible for planning and running the Summit Team tour, which usually takes place on a weekend towards the end of Term 1 at a location within the UK. Finally, the Social Events Team also run regular socials to promote team bonding before the Summit and in the past, these socials have been immensely enjoyable and varied so the Co-Coordinators will also be responsible for setting out the Team social calendar to ensure we have regular opportunities for team bonding before the Summit.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for one of two Co-Coordinator positions.

-Summit Coordinators - Talks Coordinator WES2019

Job Description

As coordinator of the Talks team, you will be responsible for securing speakers at the Warwick Economics Summit 2019, organising seminars, video messages, panel debates, the WES Presents series and the structure of the weekend itself. The role will extend well beyond speaker invitations: you will have the incredible opportunity to shape the content-side of the conference. The Summit’s high reputation is largely determined by the impressive selection of speakers hosted each year, so the coordinators must be proactive and resilient, extremely organised, have excellent communication skills and possess confidence.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for the roles of Coordinator & Deputy Coordinator.
