-Summit Coordinators - Operations Coordinators WES2019

Job Description

The Operations Team is responsible for handling the logistics and operations throughout the year and for the Summit weekend itself. It is the team at the Warwick Economics Summit that manages and organises the Summit activity. The Coordinators will be responsible for taking care of all of the background activities that keep the Summit running efficiently behind the scenes and ensuring that the delegates of the Summit ultimately receive the highest quality of experience at the University of Warwick. They will also oversee the purchase of merchandise in a cost-efficient way and ensure that the weekend operations run smoothly. The Operations Coordinators will work closely with other teams to bring our marketing strategy to life and maintain a physical presence on campus and beyond.

-Summit Coordinators - External Relations & Hospitality Coordinators WES2019

Job Description

The External Relations & Hospitality Team is primarily responsible for marketing the Summit to students outside the University of Warwick, both within the UK and globally. You will, therefore, be engaged in continuing to build on the Warwick Economics Summit's strong global reputation via innovative marketing and promotional strategies. The Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing the provision of accommodation and hospitality for delegates to ensure that they are comfortably happy throughout their visit. With 250 external delegates from top universities across the world attending the Summit, the logistical role of the team is crucial in ensuring the success of the Summit. In addition, the Coordinators will manage and expand our Ambassadors Scheme, where we establish links with external universities through a primary core contact who promotes the Summit to their university. We are always looking for fresh new ideas on how to improve schemes such as the Ambassadors Scheme and others for the 2019 Summit.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for the positions of Coordinator, and the two Deputy Coordinator roles.

-Summit Coordinators - Communications Coordinators WES2019

Job Description

Communications Team’s responsibilities include producing content on our online channels and other publications and ensuring its accuracy, as well as liaising with media. The team produces articles and insights throughout the year and works closely with the Internal Marketing team to develop the WES brand across all social media platforms. The Communications Team are also responsible for inviting members of the media to cover the Summit and ensuring their logistical and hospitality needs are met during the weekend. During the conference weekend, the Communications Team is responsible for managing live social media updates of the weekend as it happens along with video interviewing speakers and dealing with the press. The Coordinators will be required to have excellent written communication skills, good social media acumen, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will also be automatically considered for the positions of Coordinator, and the Deputy Coordinators.

-Summit Coordinators - Tech Coordinators WES2019

Job Description

The Tech Team are responsible for all IT and technology related concerns for the Summit, both during the year and the Summit weekend itself. Specifically, they handle the development and maintenance of the Summit website during the year, primarily, focusing on supporting other teams in their requirements for the website, such as implementing new features or making changes. Over the Summit weekend, the Tech Team run the audio and visual services, such as the live streaming of the weekend, without this the summit would not have access to many of the elements key to the success of an event such as this one.

NOTE: Should you apply for this position, you will be considered for one of two Co-Coordinator positions.
