Vince Cable to give Summit keynote
Posted on the 22nd January 2013 by Tom
The Rt. Hon. Dr. Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, has been announced as a keynote speaker at 2013's Warwick Economics Summit.
One of the most influential figures in the coalition government, Cable has rarely been out of the news in the last three years. He has called for a deficit reduction strategy that is fair to all, opposed unwarranted bank bonuses and called for more effective financial regulation.
Cable is a formidable economic mind and a former chief economist for Shell. He won universal praise for his prediction of the banking crisis which began under the last government.
WES 2013 is absolutely delighted to have a figure of such distinction topping the bill of speakers at this year's event. Alongside bank regulator Andrew Bailey and Monetary Policy Committee member Dr. Martin Weale, Dr. Cable completes a strong list of British policy makers.
