Goodbye from the 2014 Coordinators
Posted on the 7th March 2014 by Christian
Would you believe that Warwick Economics Summit 2014 was held a month ago? We’re sure you’ll agree that the weekend itself flew by, but so too did our year of preparation!
Without our team of 49 extremely dedicated students from Warwick, we would not have been able to bring you the Summit. We would like to say thank you to each and every one of them for their hard work and effort throughout the year.
However, it is now time for us to pass on the baton to a new set of coordinators, with fresh ideas and a drive to push the Summit even further. We’re safe in the knowledge that Jim and Maria bring experience, passion and ambition with them as they step into the role of Summit coordinator.
This year, we mainly focused on the hospitality aspect of the Summit and aimed to continue building upon its incredibly strong brand. With an extremely busy weekend of talks, the interactive panel debate and seminars, we stand proud in what we have achieved.
It has been a huge privilege to work with our team and hold the responsibility of Summit Coordinator over the last year. Managing the Summit is no easy task, but we take away many great memories having worked with a team of incredibly talented individuals and with the opportunity to meet such an enthusiastic group of delegates.
Finally, Jim and Maria have already opened up recruitment for some of the executive positions, including Talks Coordinator and Finance & Sponsorships Coordinator. The deadline is later this evening, and we would very much encourage you to apply!
