Posted on the 9th November 2015 by Sumeeta, Communications Coordinator

Are you eager to come to the Summit, but having trouble meeting the cost?

We are pleased to announce that our Bursary Scheme is now open!

Over the past 3 years, the Warwick Economics Summit has been running a successful Bursary Scheme, in conjunction with the University of Warwick's International Office. The aim of the Scheme is to provide financial support for talented overseas students willing to attend the event

We'll be offering a maximum of two students academic bursaries of up to £500 each, which will cover both the cost of a ticket and travel expenses. In exceptional circumstances the International Office may consider offering larger sums.

Applications for the WES 2016 Bursary Scheme opened on Monday 9th November 2015 and will close on Thursday 3rd December 2015.

To apply for the Bursary Scheme, you'll need to submit the following:

  1. A Cover Letter (no more than 500 words) to explain why you deserve one of the bursary slots by answering the following: :

  2. What is your motivation for attending the Summit and how do you feel you would contribute to the discussions during the weekend? Tell us something interesting about economics, whether it’s an interesting article or paper you’ve read, some research you have done or something that has affected you personally.

  3. A Curriculum Vitae detailing your academic excellence, work experience and extracurricular activities

  4. A Reference from your university to confirm your financial need. This could come from your university's finance office, central administration team or a faculty/ department. We want the bursary to help those who wouldn't be able to make it without our help.

We look forward to hearing from you!
