City regulator Andrew Bailey to speak
Posted on the 2nd January 2013 by Tom
WES 2013 is pleased to announce another internationally renowned speaker, the Financial Services Authority's Andrew Bailey.
In 25 years at the Bank of England, Bailey served as Executive Director of Banking Services and Chief Cashier, amongst other positions, and now sits on the Governor's Executive Committee.
2013 will see him take up the role of Chief Executive of the Prudential Regulation Authority, a successor to the Financial Services Authority.
As a leading figure in the BoE's efforts to deal with the banking crisis when it struck in 2007 and a key influence upon the nature of financial regulation in the future, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Summit.
He also bolsters the Bank's presence at this year's event, joining Dr. Martin Weale of the Monetary Policy Committee.
We're very pleased to have two of Britain's most influential policy makers on board.
