Ambassador Scheme 2015 launches
Posted on the 9th September 2014 by Max, Summit Coordinator
The Warwick Economics Summit is excited to announce the launch of our 2015 Ambassador Scheme, one of our landmark ventures aimed at recruiting students from universities across the world to promote the Summit and work to inspire students to come to the event in February.
Organised by students, for students, WES is one of the largest academic conferences of its kind in Europe, in years past attracting over 400 students yearly from 17 countries and over 50 universities worldwide. The 2015 conference will be held from the 13th to the 15th of February 2015, at the University of Warwick, ranked as having the best Economics Department in the UK.
The event includes talks from numerous prestigious speakers, with past speakers including Nobel Laureate's George Akerlof & John Nash, prominent policy makers such as Alistair Darling and Supachai Panitchpakdi and best selling author Stephen Landsburg. It also offers thought provoking seminars, a welcome reception for international students; and the always anticipated Summit Ball.
Each year WES sets up an extremely worthwhile scheme called the WES Ambassador Scheme, aimed at recruiting motivated students from all across the world. We believe these students would thrive from further cooperation with our marketing team as they encourage and inspire friends and other students from universities over the world to come to the event. So far the scheme has been a success, and a huge thanks goes to our 20 ambassadors who managed to bring a massive cohort of delegates to the 2014 Summit!
Endorsed by David Cameron himself, our Summit provides a unique opportunity for bright and talented students to come together and hear from world-renowned experts, on a platform allowing them to exchange ideas and challenge their views on highly relevant topics. As a result, cultivating and expanding an international network of delegates and ambassadors is crucial to us, as we believe in making cutting-edge economic research more readily available to whoever wishes to attend, all with the goal of fostering an intellectual community of passionate students.
Therefore we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our global team this year. Further details about the scheme are provided below. Contact us now if you are willing to submit an application as we recruit on a rolling basis and places fill up quickly.
