Bastian Nominacher is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Celonis, the global leader in Execution Management Systems (EMS). Nominacher is responsible for EMEA & APAC, global operations, finance and Celonis’ overall business strategy. As one of the company’s co-founders, he was awarded the “Deutsche Zukunftspreis” by Frank-Walter Steinmeier in 2019.
As one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe Celonis grew from a student start-up into the global market leader and pioneer of digital transformation and Executive Management Systems realising millions of savings for global players like Uber, Siemens or Vodafone.
Celonis uses Process Mining technology as well as different AI and ML capabilities to reveal insights into what is happening in an organization and to provide direct recommendations.
Since August 2020, Bastian Nominacher has been a member of the “Young Digital Economy” advisory board of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy. Federal Minister Peter Altmaier is counting on an intensive dialogue between politics and the German start-up scene. The goal of the initiative is to advance the digital transformation in Germany and further strengthen the German start-up ecosystem. The advisory board position is a perfect fit for Nominacher, enabling him to contribute his years of experience as a founder of a successful company and his expertise in “Made in Germany” digital technologies.
Prior to founding Celonis in 2011, Nominacher worked for leading consulting firms, including Ernst & Young, Accenture and IBM. He studied business informatics and financial mathematics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and is the author of several scientific papers on IT carve-outs and post-merger integration.
