Ambassadors & Representatives.

Who are they?

Both Ambassadors and Representatives are students nominated from outside Warwick University who promote the Summit within their university and recruit a delegation to attend. They are the local point of contact for students at their university regarding Summit information and are expected to organise a delegation of fellow students.

Representatives:

This year, WES is going hybrid! Representatives can recruit students to attend the Summit virtually only. They will represent the Summit at their university through social networking, distributing posters and flyering.

Perks of being a Representative:

  • Exclusive opportunities to appear on our WESBlog, WESPod and Student Speakers series

  • Join our 300+ ambassador alumni network on LinkedIn

  • Excellent addition to your resume/CV

Ambassadors:

The Ambassador role has the added component of recruiting an in-person delegation. Ambassadors can recruit students to attend the Summit both in-person and online. This role includes all the responsibilities of a Representative, and also comprises helping organise accommodation and travel.

Perks of being an Ambassador:

  • Exclusive opportunities to appear on our WESBlog, WESPod and Student Speakers series

  • Guaranteed spot at one of our in-person Meet the Speaker sessions for unique and deeper conversations with world-renowned speakers

  • Network with international students and speakers at our famous Summit Ball, the highlight of the weekend

  • Mentorship opportunities from our alumni, partners and sponsors - unparalleled guidance to help develop your career and interests

  • Join our 300+ ambassador alumni network on LinkedIn

  • Excellent addition to your resume/CV, alongside awards for Outstanding Ambassadors

  • Visit our beautiful campus, experience the incredible Summit atmosphere and foster lifelong connections with other attendees

  • Take on a vital role in the execution of one of the largest and most prestigious student run conferences in Europe

Supporting the Ambassadors and Representatives along the way are dedicated Relationship Managers within the Externals Relations & Hospitality team, who will provide them with what is needed to succeed in such a role.

Please be aware of COVID restrictions impacting your country when you choose which position to apply.

Ambassador applications are encouraged over Representative applications from the EU and UK.
