The success of Warwick Economics Summit is a testament to the hard work of the students who run it. I'm not sure I was that proactive when I was studying economics, but congratulations!
David Cameron
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
This is the most wonderful conference I`ve ever been at. The fact that it was arranged by students themselves is really marvellous. I think it`s a truly great conference and I am tremendously pleased to be here.

It is a great honor to be invited to address the Warwick Economic Summit, which has become one of the largest academic conferences in Europe. I wish to commend the entire students and staff of the University of Warwick for inviting me to share my experiences at the Central Bank of Nigeria. I am highly delighted to be part of this summit where top policymakers, professionals and technocrats around the world meet to debate and exchange views on contemporary economic issues.

It was amazing to face so many students from all over Europe, all of whom were deeply motivated and impressively well informed. For a stimulating gathering that allows many different students to exchange views on topics that could scarcely be more relevant, I know of nothing more impressive than the Warwick Economics Summit

The Warwick Economics Summit is a fantastic event that the University is proud to host. The programme for this year is very interesting and we are delighted to have speakers of this calibre on our campus. I commend the organisers for all their hard work in running the Summit.
Nigel Thrift
Vice Chancellor of the University of Warwick
The Warwick Economic Summit is a unique event, of a kind that I have not seen elsewhere. It is a relatively large operation, superbly organized, and offers a high quality programme. Moreover, what is particularly exciting is that it succeeds in generating a huge amount of buzz and intellectual interaction amongst the participating students, on the one hand, and between them and the speakers, on the other hand. It is, to put it simply, a formidable and a memorable event.
Abhinay Muthoo
Head of the Economics Department at the University of Warwick
The economic situation we're in now is an opportunity - to end of the kind of unbridled, deregulated capitalism of the past few decades. It's the chance for us to move forward in a way that's sustainable, economically and environmentally. This summit is, therefore, an important forum for exploring how we introduce change as well as what kind of changes we want to see.
Caroline Lucas
Leader of the Green Party
The Warwick Economics Summit is a great opportunity for people to come together and discuss issues of international importance such as unemployment, climate change and international development. It will be a valuable experience for all those that attend.
Theresa May
Home Secretary
The summit is a wholly good initiative and I was very impressed by the willingness of a group of students to organise such a professional, ideas-based event.

The Warwick Economics Summit is a rare opportunity to meet the great and the good up close and personal. They say you can judge a man by his shoes; we got so up close and personal to Alistair Darling and his shoes that summit delegates got advance warning New Labour was finished

The event in Warwick I got to join was of a very high inspiration to me. The way you organised the whole summit, including accomodation, talks, the easy-going agenda and the smiling faces of all the organizers, your commitment to this event and visible determination to make excellent was perfect and made everyone feel comfortable enough to concentrate purely on the economics with a hint of fun
Barbora Martinková
Masaryk University in Brno The Czech Republic (2012 delegate)
t was my first time attending the summit this year, and I have to say that it was stunningly well planned, and exceeded all my expectations. I was expecting to be llectured about marginal utility and economic models along with a bit of aggregate supply and demand thrown in for good measure. How wrong I was!! From the outset, the meticulous planning and organisation was evident in the way there was already an "infrastructure" of people to support the process and answer any questions you could think of. All in all, it was an unforgettable weekend, during which solid friendships were made.
Stephen Georgieff
Aston Business School (2012 delegate)
I have attended WES every year for the past three years and I can honestly say that I think that it is one of the best events at Warwick University as well as in the United Kingdom that is run by students. I would say the world but my experience is constrained to the UK. Every year there is something new that takes WES to the next level. The speakers are always phenomenal and the social on Saturday is always one to remember!

This is the first Summit I have been to. The Warwick Economics Summit was extremely well organised. I`m still in awe that it was completely student run. Kudos to you guys. The ball was fantastic with incredible decor. The summit has left me speechless. `Fantastic` is an understatment. It was beyond exquisite. The highlight was having a chat to George Akerlof during his book signing where he left me with few thoughts to ponder. Thank you for a FANTASTIC weekend.
