The Student Journals- Warwick Economics Summit media partner is an online magazine founded in October 2010 to give students a platform to express their opinions on a national scale. In September 2011, they were voted the 25th best group blog and the 46th best media blog in the country. Only two months later, they were also named the second best student website in the country at the Guardian Student Media Awards.
They have also launched a number of innovative projects over the year including TSJ Youth and the TSJ Advisor scheme. The former opens up TSJ to students not yet at university, but wanting to write and give their views. These students are given very detailed feedback to help them become better writers. The latter brings together editors from the Guardian, Telegraph and the New Statesman and they edit the work of students who write for the site and give them constructive criticism; this scheme not only helps students become better writers but it also introduces them to journalists, giving them the chance to ask any questions they have about the industry.
On their one-year anniversary, TSJ went global and started allowing students from around the world to get involved.
